Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

I broke up with my boyfriend, but he intentionally left his computer at my dorm before Christmas break even though I told him it was a bad idea and I was uncomfortable with him leaving it there. I told him I would get it back to him after I got back to school, but he still threatened to do something to me if I dont get it back to him the week I get back to school. He didn't say what he would do to me. I don't want to deal with him when I get back to school, especially since he's making threats. Can I just turn the computer into the school's lost and found?
