Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

I own my own business and I am being sued for bad work. I did make a mistake on the job. I have offered to redo the work for the agreed price of $478, but the customer refused and is now threatening to sue me for $5000 for emotional distress. He had his lawyer contact me to inform me of this. What are my options here and how do I proceed. I am a small independent company and cannot afford a lawyer.

It sounds like an idle threat. You cannot sue for emotional distress on a breach of contract. Tim Klisz. www.kliszlaw.com
