Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

Civil suite against local police/excessive force/us postal service/civil rights.

What legal recourse do I have.

I asked the postmaster for a written copy of a policy statement that allowed this particular post office to limit haw many items you could mail at one time. My request was denied. They refused to weigh my mail and affix the correct amount of postage. The police were called to remove me from the premises. in front of my six year old son I was thrown to the floor, peppered sprayed, roughed up, hand cuffed, and charged with resisting an officer. I spent several hours in a holding cell after being fingerprinted, photographed ect. All that occured in the post office should be on their security camera.

Your legal recourse depends upon a number of factors that cannot really be resolved until an attorney does an investigation into the facts of your case and interviews witnesses.

If you would like to discuss the possibilities in more depth, please e-mail me at [email protected], if you are in the state of Michigan.
