Claiming rental car costs after traffic accident

Is it possible to take a person to small claims court in Michigan to recoup rental car costs incurred while the vehicle was being repaired?

You are limited to $500 total damages for property damage. My guess is that this would be lumped in and you still could not collect over $500, including damage to your car (deductible), etc. Bill Stern
