contract

a property owner has leased hunting rights for his land for years 2011-2016 to an individual and has accepted 100.00 deposit to be applied toward the 1st year of the lease. if he passes away before or during the lease period, are the new owners (family that inherited the house and land) obligated to honer the lease?

It depends on the terms of the lease - is this issue addressed in the lease? If not, you should immediately prepare an addendum/amendment to the lease clarifying this issue.
