Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
I cosigned for a loan for my then boyfriend in 2006, which he used for his credit cards.
Ihad been giving him money on a weekly to biweekly basis to cover bills. We broke up in 2008, and now the credit union is suing me for nonpayment. I am unemployed and do not have $8200 plus attorney fees. What can I do?

If you co-signed on the loan, the bank can pursue you for the full amount. You would then need to sue your ex-boyfriend for any amount you feel he owes you. If you would like further assistance with this matter, visit www.aldrichlegalservices.com, and feel free to contact our office.
