Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

My ex friend is blackmailing me by saying she'll go to court with two witnesses who may or may not have seen me raise a fist to her and her dog. I did raise a fist, yes. But I never hit her. I want the stuff of mine she has, and the money she owes me. I have texts of her blackmailing me. What should I do?

You should know that law enforcement would rather investigate improperly dropped dog waste then deal with your problem. An unemployed attorney fresh out of law school might be interested in helping you to recover your personal property and money depending on its value..., or you could file a complaint in small claims court.
