Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
I have an ex girlfriend that helped me buy a car a few years ago. She gave me cash, no receipt given and said "don't worry about it". I no longer have the car and am no longer with that person. She is attacking me for the money now threatening to take me to small claims court. I made up a paper stating I could pay her a set amount every few months but my situation has changed and I cannot afford the payments anymore. Am I bound to pay her back the money?
