Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

hold harmless

I am going to lease a car and then in turn, lease it to my adult child. Can I get a hold harmless lease agreement between my child and me that will protect me from liability in the event my child should get in a car accident with the car?

Re: hold harmless

Did you come up with this idea all by yourself?

Read your lease agreement which tells you that you can't sublease to another. The reason your adult child can't lease a car is because he/she can't qualify.

Your child's "hold harmless" agreement would be worthless. No lessor would honor it.
