Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

independence

my son is 37yrs old and lives by himself. after he was born he was examaned by a neorolgist and found to have problems.He does drive and takes care of his affairs. His mother died a year ago. She was my exwife. the problem is a member of her family took his medical records.my son wants them back.that side of the family is trying to get a waiver to stop me from seeing him.Can they do that? we have had many good times together while his mother was a live.also can I be blamed for any physical injury that may have occured 37yrs ago?

Legally, after 37 years, you are off the hook. If a family member was appointed his guardian, they could concievably get a court order preventing visitation. You would have to fight this in court. William S. Stern
