Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
Lawsuit against Friend of the Court/ County
Why won't any attorneys i talk to take my case? The matter has to do with being issued an expired summons, forgery of the delivery date, fraudulently notarizing the document with the falsified date of service, the unlawful attachment of my wages, and intentionally inflicted emotional distress. I have been told that this matter falls under abuse of process, intentional torts, and intentional/unintentional infliction of emotional distress. I filed a motion a while back and the investigator who had served the summons was ''relieved'' of his duties. But what about the others involved? And what about the damage done to me? Every attorney i talk to says the same thing. I have a case but they can't or won't help me.

Re: Lawsuit against Friend of the Court/ County
You are pursuing a case against a government entity where you have to plead and to prove actual malice and actual damages.
Your post alleges gross negligence, incompetence, and serious clerical errors. That's not good enough.
Extreme emotional distress absent any demonstrable physical injury attributal to the county is not good enough.
And, if the above is not enough, governmental immunity would be enough to dismiss your case immediately after it is filed.
Absent those elements, that's my read on your case.
