Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
Privacy of medical records
I was sick and need the day off from the hospital that I work at. My dept manager told me I would have to go through the ER to have a doctor excuse me. I did just that. The manager requested to see my release papers that had my diagnosis on it. It was for her to see only. A witness stated that she showed it to a office clerk in my department while I was not there. Can I sue ?

Sue for what? You do realize that suing your current employer in this economic climate is not a good idea.
