Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

I just received a summons for past credit card debt that I owe. I finally found the correct form to write my "answer" to the district court. My Question is How do I respond to the numbered questions on the complaint if I want proof of what they say I owe first? I don't want to admit to any of it- because the amount is in question, but I also don't want to deny it and get into trouble. I just don't know what is the exceptable phrasing of this on the answer form.

Also, I read somewhere to find out what the statute of limitations are before you do anything. Would that be from the state where you resided when you opened the account or the state I have lived in for the past 4 years, Michigan?

The statute of limitations is 6 years from your last payment. If you dint deny some things, you will lose because the court will enter a judgment against you. Good luck. www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
