Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

satutory rape

If a 21 year old male is dating a 16 year old female, will it be considered satutory rape even though Michigan law states 16 is the age of consent. In some forums it states a 4 year age seperation is the limit, if one partner is 4 or more years older than the other is that satutory rape? Please clarify this for me.

Re: satutory rape

I never heard of that. I think you are mixing up what occurs when someone has relations with another and they are in a position of power to exert the power to psychologically force themselves upon the other. There is no bright line regarding age once both parties reach the age of consent. William S. Stern
