Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
My sister and her husband robbed my parents and stole and pawned over $10,000 worth of valuables from their home. My parents had to spend $7,000.00 to buy back her belongings from the pawn shop. Can my parents sue my brother in law for the money it cost to 'buy back' their belongings?

Absolutely they can. They should file a criminal complaint. If the wrongdoers are convicted the court will order them to pay restitution. If you have more specific questions in regard to the civil or criminal process feel free to contact me.
