Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
Small Claims Court
Is there a time limit that someone can sue you for small claims court, after they have moved out of your house, and claim you didn't give them back their property?

Re: Small Claims Court
You are bound by the landlord tenant laws of the state. Your situation is more complicated than a simple statute of limitations problem. Generally, the statute of limitations is 3 years for general claims and six years on a contract.
