Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
My son video taped a party and the home owners were charged with serving to minors after one of the underaged drinker was involved in a serious accident. They are suing for invasion of privacy. The tape was court ordered to be turned in, he had no intentions on using it for anything. Can they win this?

I really doubt that taping a party would constitute invasion of privacy. There is no expectation of privacy. However, my opinion could change if he hid a camera in the bedroom or bathroom, for example.
