Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan
A student of mine admitted to spitting in my coffee thermos. I found this out only after I drank from it. Do I have any legal recourse?

Yes, this is a tort, and is actionable. You will probably not have to prove damages, but you will probably have to prove that he did this. You should pursue action against him through the school, and you may want to contact either a criminal or tort liabilty attorney as well.
