Sueing

I put a credit card in my ex boyfriends name and he charged over $5,000 and is no longer paying the debt. Do I need a lawyer to retrieve the money or can I go through small claims court?

The amount sounds like it is in excess of the amount for most small claims courts. You probably should hire an attorney.
