Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

ticket/misdemenor

my son is 17 years old. a policeman pulled him over and gave him a ticket for careless driving. he told my son that someone reported him careless driving two days ago and that is why he is getting a ticket. he was not pulled over for careless dring at that time. i just dont understand how somebody can just tell a police officer that someone was careless driving and then have the police pull them over two days later and ticket them for that.is that legal for the police to do in the state of michigan.p.s. the police said that they had the first 4 letters of his plate and also described my son to him.

Re: ticket/misdemenor

Doesn't sound appropriate for your son to be issued a ticket based on the facts you described. You should hire an attorney to file an appearance on your son's behalf and appear for a formal hearing to present your son's side of the story. I can assist you if you would like.
