Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan
I am a 17 yr old Canadien citizen living in MI for the past 4 1/2 years. I left home 6 months ago which is legal in MI. I was told that it is illegal for anyone to withhold someones I.D. from them (18 years old) and that I should get a lawyer to file some sort of 'claim and recovery' and present it to my parents who have my green card. I will be 18 in 4 months and want to get my green card so I can get a job, apply to school and get my license. Was this info correct?

Yes. Or you could just apply for a new card.
