Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan

I am an American citizen and my husband is British born. I have lived married to him in England for over 2 years. Since I have returned to America as my visa was about to expire and I did not want to take the test. I want to bring my husband to America and we know I need to file the I-130 application. I have talked to a few different immigration lawyers and got different answers. One said I needed to file a K-2 which I know is incorrect, the other said I needed a K-3 and the other said the K-3 visa no longer exists as it has been don away with. I'm just trying to find a lawyer that knows the law correctly so I can hire the right one to do the job. My question is can I file a K-3 visa along with the I-130 and how long will it take to get him here?

File I-130 since spouses of U.S. Citizens are not subject to any limits or wait time. In other words the processing of I-130 is current and the time is 4-6 months. Now if you want the husband to be here sooner then you can file I-129F is your app is pended.

If you are a U.S. citizen, the fastest way to bring your spouse here would be by filing for an immigrant visa for him as a spouse of a U.S. Citizen. This process entails filing an I-130 and then complying with the documentary requirements through the National Visa Center and then obtaining an interview appointment at a U.S. Consulate in England. A K-3 visa is filed to bring a spouse of a U.S. Citizen to the U.S. from abroad and then once the spouse arrives, you apply for a green card through a process called adjustment of status. The K-3 visa is an extra step and does not really save much time in my opinion. I would be happy to speak to you about this process in detail.
