If a child is born in Canada in 1968 and the father is an American citizen while the mother is a Canadian citizen, can the child be considered American? The child has lived in the US since it was 7 months old.

It is possible that the child is a US citizen. But more info is needed such as the birthdate of the father and the time the father spent in the U.S. and the marital status of the parents at the time of the birth of the child.
