Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan
Dui in Canada
My stupid husband got a DUI 6/08 and knows about the laws about going into Canada. Our problem is we have a cottage that we own there with my husbands sisters. Can Canada keep him from entering if he is a property owner? Both of his parents are buried there and he needs to be able to go there because we are remodeling and he is doing some of the renovations himself???

Re: Dui in Canada
Dear Inquirer:
Canada has rules against admission of foreign citizens with DUIs. You should visit the Canadian immigration website for information on how to obtain a "certificate of rehabilitation" or "temporary resident permit."
