Hi,

A U.S. citizen is allowed to receive food stamps. If you find a co-sponsor for affidavit of support, then the sponsorship paperwork can be successfully filed. The age difference is acceptable if this is a bona fide marriage. The following article from our website may be helpful: www.h1b1.com/Uscitizen.htm

The food stamp issue is not a problem is you can find a cosponsor who must be either a US citizen or lawful permanent resident. You will need a lot of evidence regarding the validity of the marriage. You can all us for a free consultation or to schedule a free appointment at (248) 619-0065
