Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan
H1B Transfer
Hi
I have a question regarding H1B transfer.
I am working in a company A who had sponsored my H1B which will expire on Oct 2008. Just one month back i transfered my H1B to company B and the same petiton has been approved by USCIS. I havnt started working for company B yet.
But somehow i do not want to work for company B and i have not resigned from my earlier job at company A.
Am i still a legal resident here? Can i still work for company A? Do i have any liabilities towards company B? can company B take any action against me?
Please do let me know as i do not want to stay here without any status and do not want to violate any US laws.
Thanks in anticipation and waiting for your positive response.
Regards
Ravi

Re: H1B Transfer
Hi Ravi,
So long as you are still working for company A and are being paid properly you should not have any concerns about Company B taking action against you. The only thing to consider is if you signed any type of contract with Company B.
