Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan

I-765

My wife's employer applied for immigrant petition for an alien worker in her behalf and a concurrent filin of our adjustment of Status (I-485), and for the two of us filled I-765 and I-131 (me as her derivative)

I have been hearing that work authorizations are not being approved/released to derivative applicants anymore UNLESS the Adjustment of status have been approved can anyone clear teh issue about this ???

Isnt it supposed to be we just need to wait for 90 days after filling to receive my work authorization??? thanks for all the support!!!

I believe that they are not being issued until the I-140 is approved.
