Legal Question in Insurance Law in Michigan
My dad died about 13 months ago and left an insurance policy to my younger brother. However, we found out after his death that a woman he lived with for a while had forged his signature and added herself as a beneficiary. We provided the insurance company with proof of signatures (as they requested) and they turned the matter over to an attorney. No the insurance company has deposited the proceeds into the court system for discharge. We really need advice on how to move forward on this matter. Please Help!

You will have to file suit against the woman and win to get the money. The insurance company has fulfilled their obligation and has paid in the money. Now the two sides have to fight it out.
