Legal Question in Insurance Law in Michigan

my friend was in a car accident (other driver's fault) and she wasn't injured but the car was damaged. the car was then towed to a local dealership and i tried to pick it up to have it towed to my car shop. when I called the dealership they said the car was abandoned and they destroyed it by sending it to a junk yard to be crushed. i wanted to make a claim for the damages and now I have nothing left of the car. can i still make a claim of some kind?

Are you speaking of a claim against the at-fault driver? If so, you do have a claim of mini tort for $500.00. A claim against the dealer would be much tougher. Kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
