Legal Question in Insurance Law in Michigan
The neighbor across the street (minor) put my son on the back of a four wheeler without a helmet. He was crossing the street back to my house and hit a car causing injuries. His parents' homeowners insurance is denying coverage as the standard homeowners policy says the accident is not covered because it did not happen on their property, it happenned on the street. I would contend that the negilgence happenned on their property when he put my son on the four wheeler without a helmet. What is your opinion? Bryan, [email protected]

The location of the negligence doesn't matter for homeowners coverage. Look at dog bites, they are covered wherever the dog is located. I wouldn't trust the insurance company's advice ever. Get your own legal analysis. Kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
