Legal Question in Insurance Law in Michigan
Timeframe for Insurance Company to accept or a deny a 3rd party claim
How long does an insurance company have to accept or deny liability in a 3rd party property damage claim stemming from contractor negligence in the State of Michigan?
A contractor failed to resecure a cleanout cap when they replaced the lateral on my house. Basement filled with 1 1/2 feet of sewage. The contractor filed a claim with his insurance co 4 months ago. As of today, they have done nothing to investigate the claim.

If the insurance company had their way, they would wait until the statute of limitations expired and then tell you "sorry." Do not wait on an insurance company to do anything. Get an attorney involved now or risk losing your right to the claim. Visit www.kliszlaw.com for more info and to contact me for a free phone consultation. Tim Klisz
