Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Michigan
My daughter and friends are making bottle cap necklaces as a fund raiser to pay for childrens dance costumes. They make these necklaces from bottle caps --- they insert a decoration in the cap and then put a substance on it to fill the cap. The question I have is -- they want to put stickers of Disney characters and stickers of things for boys, such as Spider Man, Batman and the like. Are they going to get into any kind of trouble by using trademarked items in these bottlecaps?
Thank you for you help.

If the trademark owner(s) find out, yes, they can be sued for trademark infringement. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
