How sale of company affects licensing contract
My private ''Company A'' licenses content for sale from ''Company B,'' but we're trying to sell our company to ''Company C''. Our licensing contract (abiding MI law) states ''Under no circumstances may Company A provide the Licensed Content to any third party for resale or redistribution of such Licensed Content by such third party. This license is specific to Company A and gives no rights to any other party. Company A may not provide the Licensed Content to any third party for resale or redistribution, including affiliates of Company A, subsidiaries of Company A, business partners of Company A, sister companies of Company A, or parent company of Company A.'' We sell content through our website and would HAVE to sell it through Company C's website for our buyout to work. It seems that's not possible by the last bit of this contract (''or parent company...'') - but I need to know how sale of the company would affect or transfer any rights to this licensed content.

At a minimum I would have to read the entire licensing contract to answer that question.
