Uh huh, you "hate your parents". All 16 year olds do at some time, and they usually hated them sometime when they were 15 or 14 or 13, etc. But they do not "hate YOU". Do you hate them so much that you're ok with them worrying themselves sick over the next year+ wondering where you are, whether you are alive, etc? (After all, if you're going to be really, really good at this "running away" stuff, you're going to have to remain hidden from their view. You can't "run away next door".) And ... you will not always hate your parents. In fact, in a few years, you'll probably agree with what they have been saying / doing. (Parents get smarter as you get older.)
The worst thing that your parents could do if you ran away was to not care enough about you to try to find you or bring you back home so they can support you and raise you and make sure that you are safe. The worst someone else could do if you ran away at 16 was to abduct you, assault you, and kill you.
How are you going to financially support yourself for the next 2 years until you become legally emancipated and can then have a better shot at getting a job? That is a long time to live on the streets, or live off the generosity of several friends and their families. Also, until you are an emancipated adult, you cannot sign contracts (like apartment leases), you cannot make medical decisions for yourself, etc.
Until you turn 18, if you do "run away", your parents or the prosecutor or another adult could file a petition request with the family court for the court to take jurisdicton of you because you are an "incorrigible youth", or based on other legal criteria. If the court does that, then the court (a judge) will have temporary jurisdiction of you and has some authority that even your parents do not have to ensure that you toe the line in your basic activities of life. Have you ever heard of the juvenile detention facility? It's a lot worse than "going to your room", like you might have to do at home.
