Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Michigan

moving out at 17

one of my friends has a really overbearing and abusive father,, not in the physical way but in a mental way, he has told her to get out numerous times, once he even put her outside in her underwear claiming that the pants were his so she couldnt wear them, so when he tells her to get out she leaves and then he gets angry at her for leaving, and makes her come home she is only 17 and really wants to leave, but im not sure its legal, she is planning on moving in with a friend who lives with their parents, my friend also has a job and can provide for herself, she lives in michigan and im just wondering if its lega for her to move out at 17 WITHOUT parental permission
