Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

Accrued leave of absence time.

Our company allow the accrual of leave of absence time up to 180 days of pay. However it also states that if you leave the company this will only be paid out if the state law requires. Can you tell me if there is a law in Michigan that address this issue?

Re: Accrued leave of absence time.

Accrued leave and earned leave are different. Earned leave is paid out upon termination, usually with the provision that you give the employer at least two weeks notice.

Accrued (but not yet earned ) leave is not paid.
