Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

I was Belittled, Threatened and Embarrased in front of other emplyees

I am a Quality Supervisor. On 08/31/04, I was performing my duties and a Plant Supervisor was very upset with me for making the decision that some parts were unacceptable. The plant supervisor came to me and started yelling, cursing and threatened me. We were both very upset and during this arguement, he told me I better get out of his face or else!! There is a lot more to this matter, but I just wanted to know if this is acceptable behavior on his part. I have refused to return to work until this is solved and will be filing a Former Complaint with HR department today. I also have a meeting with Upper Management today. I am uncomfortable returning there and fear this will happen again. Is there any legal rights that I have in this matter?? Please let me know ASAP. THANK YOU.

Fast advice: Go back to work! Always show up and let management have a chance to straighten things out first.
