Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
If me and a buddy work a job together and he texts me and says don't worry about coming to help anymore and we agreed that he would pay me half of the money from the job and the text messages show the specific dollar amount and then he gets paid and doesn't pay me and is ignoring my calls, can I take him to court for that specific amount of money?

Sure. Assuming it's a small claim go to the court in the district where you performed the work and fill out and file a "Small Claims" form with the clerk.
