Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
Employee Agreement
Does an employee/employer agreement override company policy....regarding vacation. In other words, is it ok for a company to agree to paid vacation time for an employee during their negotiations and agreement, despite the company policy stating a waiting period?

Re: Employee Agreement
A company can agree to exceptions to an employment policy, but if it's not in writing then and signed by someone with authority to make such changes, it would not be enforceable. They cannot agree to policy exceptions that would violate a federal or state requirement.
