Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
Employement Law & Back wages
How do I file a line on a business for back pay?
Also, my former employer has made unauthorized deductions and is withholding my pay (over $5000) for ''expenses''. How can I collect?

Re: Employement Law & Back wages
If you are member of union, that's your first stop.
If not, then have counsel notify your employer of the payment problem in writing and give them two weeks to comply or provide an alternate accouting in writing.
Then, you can file an action with the Department of Labor (that's where your detailed letters come in handy) and/or file suit under state and/or federal wage laws.
