Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
One of my family members has recently started working at a Hampton Inn hotel in Lansing, MI. She has told us that her manager only allows for a 10 minute break during her work hours, but only if time allows for it. She often does not get the break despite being a full time employee. Is the manager or the company breaking any laws?

Is she salaried or hourly? Hourly employees get breaks. If I were a new employee, I would be very hesitant about complaining of overwork.
