Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

health information

I had an off the job fall and hurt my back. My physician has released me back to work with no restrictions and I gave my employer that slip. They now want a letter from my doctor stating EXACTLY what is wrong with my back. Can they demand that information?

Yes. Your employer can also order you to go to its doctor to determine your fitness to perform your job.
