Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

My husband has been an elementary principal for sixteen years. He has had excellent and exemplary evaluations through out this time. Five weeks ago his school hired one of his fellow administrators, of three years, to be the superintendent of the district. After four weeks she evaluated him and recommended termination, disregarding past evaluations. Is this legal? Does he have any recourse?

If he is in a union, that would be his best course. If not, it would be a tough case, but could fall under a protected class. Visit kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
