Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

I'm having an issue at work. I was promoted 9/1/09 and got a contract from my work stating I would get a minimum guaranteed bonus at the end of the year (for retro) and a certain amount for my wage starting 1/1/10. I did receive my bonus, and have been getting my pay, but now our holding company in Belgium told my boss that he needs to cut my pay and only give me a 10% increase of my previous pay, then another 10% in July. Which will still be short of what was agreed on my contract. I did quit my second job because I received this raise, but now that it is being taken away, I will be struggling. I want to write a letter to my holding company letting them know that I plan on taking them to court, but am not sure how I should go about it.

I DO NOT advise you to do this unless you want to have no job at all. Let the dust settle for a while. Any in house remedy should be through your boss and NOT through his superiors.
