Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

Is it legal for my employer to have a thermometer (forehead scan type) to take employee temperatures? I mentioned I wasn't feeling well and was immediately told mytemperature had to be taken. If I had a fever I would have been sent home without pay (no sick pay offered in the whole company). Also, there is an emegency plan that should the swine flu alert be raised, all employee's would be subjected to a temperature check before entering the building. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks!
