Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
I was a Manager at a subway, and I had a young lady working there and we developed a jokingly horseplay type of relationship, which I now understand should have never been. I came back from a vacation to find that I lost my job for sexual harassment, I knew nothing of this until that time, was never questioned about the incident or anything. First question is did my employer have a right to fire me with out giving me a chance to defend myself, and the second question is when two people have the type of relation that the two of us had is that still considered sexual harassment, just so you know she initiated this type of behavior and I went along with it. I almost think that she set me up for this because she has accused at least one other person of this at a different job. Thank you for your time.

1. You can be fired anytime for any or no reason.
2. Since you don't explain the factual nature of your relationship, no reason is good enough.
