Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

My neice and her boyfriend work in the same office. there relationship has become known to some of the co-workers. my neice owns cleaning company and cleans a few buildings with her boyfriend. last night while cleaning a building it was said that her boyfriend pull a handgun on the owner of that building. the owner called the job they work, talked to the boss and the boyfriend was fired.

is there any recourse for anything against the job where they both work?
