Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
At the place where I work, my boss was replaced and a new worker was hired in. From the get-go, this worker (a girl) pursued me in a sexual manner. I had repeatedly turned her down until it got to the point where I had to file a sexual harrassment claim after notifying my boss. Months pass and the girl continues to try pursuing me. One day in work, I was called into my boss' office to discuss a rumor that myself and 2 other employees were going to give our 2-week notice. After denying this, for I had not planned on quitting, I was sent out of the office. The next day at work, I was called back in the office, with higher staff members there, to discuss a comment about that girl I had mentioned. There was another employee who was calling her a "nympho" due to her trying to sexually pursue myself and him, when neither of us engaged in her behavior. The blame was put on me for the comment and I was called "a threat." I had come to find out that another employee saw her crying to the new boss after she had heard the "nympho" comment going around. She went on to tell him that she had sent nude pictures to my phone, which I, again, had not engaged in. So, after being called "a threat" I was dismissed from working there. I was fired and I believe it's unlawful termination..
