Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

I quit my job, can I be sued

My co-worker and I quit our jobs to begin a business in the same industry. We had no non-compete or other employment agreements. We quit with no notice. We hear rumblings of a lawsuit from people that still work there. What could the basis of the suit be?

Re: I quit my job, can I be sued

its hard to speculate what you might get sued for when it hasnt been filed yet. Even without a noncompete, they could argue an interference with an advantageous business situation. This would be you tried to take their clients, etc. Visit www.kliszlaw.com for more info or to contact me for a free phone consultation. Tim Klisz
