Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan
I was recently fired from my at-will employment as a legal secretarty. I have an active 401(k) retirement account managed through John Hancock on behalf of the law firm. I have requested a form that would allow me to close out this account. Can they ignore my request and not provide any further information on terminating the account?

You notify John Hancock if you want to liquidate your account or have the funds transferred to your IRA. Your ex-employer takes no part in your decision.
